It’s time for flower patrol! If I don’t walk all through the garden every day, I’ll miss showy epiphyllum blooms at their prime.
Especially this one. It comes from a cutting I got years ago from Geri.
It blooms at night. There was no bloom yesterday afternoon; this photo is this morning; by this afternoon, it will have wilted. Last year it was spectacular. This little potted plant must have produced a dozen flowers.
Today: moved it and stuck a fertilizer stick in the pot.
This pot has six or eight cuttings. It’s probably from last year, maybe the year before.
I moved it and added an inch or two of soil, just scooping it over the accumulation of dried leaves.

The epiphyllum are the most spectacular blooms, but other cactus flowers are appearing every day.
